Abstract
Enugu-Ezike Clergy, Religious and Aspirants Association The Enugu-Ezike Clergy, Religious and Aspirants Association (ECRAA) held her 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 2nd January 2026 at All Saints Catholic Church Umopu.
The event commenced with a Holy Mass at 10:00am, presided over by Very Rev. Fr. Ambrose Azegba. The Mass was concelebrated by Fr. Cornelius Obe, Fr. Solomon Onu, and other priests present.
At the beginning of the Mass, the Principal Celebrant, Very Rev. Fr. Azegba, thanked God for once again bringing ECRAA members together. He warmly welcomed everyone in attendance and prayed for the continued growth of ECRAA and All Saints Parish, Umopu.
In his reflection, Fr. Solomon Onu reminded members of the eternal Divine Presence — emphasizing that God is always with us. He encouraged members to continually strive for purity of heart so as to experience God’s manifestation in their lives.
Following the Post-Communion Prayer, the Parish Priest of All Saints Umopu, Rev. Fr. Christian Ugwu, specially welcomed the members of ECRAA and expressed appreciation for their presence. The ECRAA President, Very Rev. Fr. Cornelius Obe, also welcomed members and invited Very Rev. Fr. Dr. Uchenna Eze to deliver a vote of thanks to the Parish Priest on behalf of the association.
The Meeting Proper
After the Mass, members introduced themselves according to their respective parishes within Enugu-Ezike and Arji Deaneries.
The meeting formally began at 11:53am with an opening prayer led by Rev. Fr. Kevin Oodo.
The assembly observed a minute of silence in honor of two members who passed away during the year. Fr. Cajethan Apeh conveyed the assembly’s heartfelt gratitude to Fr. Solomon Onu and Sr. Precious, who both lost their fathers within the year. The meeting thereafter proceeded smoothly.
ELECTION 2026
During the AGM, new stewards were elected to serve the association. The newly elected officers are:

Courtesy Visit
At the conclusion of the meeting, ECRAA members paid a courtesy visit to Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla, a retired Vice Admiral and distinguished son of Enugu-Ezike.
He was commended for his outstanding contributions to community development, notably the attraction of a Naval Training School and the construction of road networks in Umopu, Enugu-Ezike. The visit was a remarkable gesture of appreciation and was warmly received.
The 2026 AGM was truly edifying, spiritually uplifting, and fruitful for the association.
