Abstract

Enugu-Ezike Clergy, Religious and Aspirants Association The Enugu-Ezike Clergy, Religious and Aspirants Association (ECRAA) held her 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 2nd January 2026 at All Saints Catholic Church Umopu.

The event commenced with a Holy Mass at 10:00am, presided over by Very Rev. Fr. Ambrose Azegba. The Mass was concelebrated by Fr. Cornelius Obe, Fr. Solomon Onu, and other priests present.

At the beginning of the Mass, the Principal Celebrant, Very Rev. Fr. Azegba, thanked God for once again bringing ECRAA members together. He warmly welcomed everyone in attendance and prayed for the continued growth of ECRAA and All Saints Parish, Umopu.

In his reflection, Fr. Solomon Onu reminded members of the eternal Divine Presence — emphasizing that God is always with us. He encouraged members to continually strive for purity of heart so as to experience God’s manifestation in their lives.

Following the Post-Communion Prayer, the Parish Priest of All Saints Umopu, Rev. Fr. Christian Ugwu, specially welcomed the members of ECRAA and expressed appreciation for their presence. The ECRAA President, Very Rev. Fr. Cornelius Obe, also welcomed members and invited Very Rev. Fr. Dr. Uchenna Eze to deliver a vote of thanks to the Parish Priest on behalf of the association.

The Meeting Proper

After the Mass, members introduced themselves according to their respective parishes within Enugu-Ezike and Arji Deaneries.

The meeting formally began at 11:53am with an opening prayer led by Rev. Fr. Kevin Oodo.

The assembly observed a minute of silence in honor of two members who passed away during the year. Fr. Cajethan Apeh conveyed the assembly’s heartfelt gratitude to Fr. Solomon Onu and Sr. Precious, who both lost their fathers within the year. The meeting thereafter proceeded smoothly.
